If you have read your welcome email, you would have already read on how to activate your GenNEXT Information System (GIS) for module registration and Canvas account for online Learning Management System that will be important for your studies in UBD.

You may also refer to the New Students' Orientation Guide (to be uploaded soon) for this.

Collect your room key
UBD Corporation will email you details about where you can collect your room key for university accommodation before your arrival, subject to confirmation of your room booking. It would be good if you could also advise beforehand on your flight details.

If you are arriving late in the evening or outside of Freshers' Week, please check with the reservation office of UBD Corporation for alternative arrangements concerning your room key collection and who to contact if you have any questions.

Open a Brunei bank account
Many banks in Brunei will not let you open a bank account until you are in Brunei and have registered on a programme of full-time study. This is important as to allow your allowances (for scholarship recipients) to be debited into the account.

The International Students Office (ISO) will invite the staff from selected banks to be at UBD (if necessary). In this regard, students are required to bring along their passports and cash of BND50.00 (fifty dollars only) as deposit. ISO will issue relevant forms (Particulars for Bank Account) to be competed and submitted together with the College Account Card.

Submission of relevant documents
Find out what documents are required in the UBD International Students Guide for student visa, pass, and Brunei Identity Card applications.
